Tree Plantation Drive
- When is tree plantation drive?
- Why should you plant more trees?
- What happens after plantation?
Every year on the third of August our school organizes the tree plantation drive. Every student has to compulsorily plant at least one plant. That day we have school but we are all traipsing around the neighborhood dressed in uniforms planting saplings.
Its fun planting tiny saplings and then watching then’ grow. No matter how many trees we plant we cannot make up for the ones that are being felled down for wood and paper. Trees give us shade; they even hold the ground soil together with their thick roots that penetrate way below the surface.
Every student has to diligently water the plant everyday and after a month the teacher checks out the progress. The most well-looked after plant gets a prize.
