The Letter
Anna squealed in delight when she opened the letterbox. There was a letter addressed to her. It was written by her friend who had migrated to Australia. Anna rushed and placed the letter on her desk. She would read it after she had her bath.
Fifteen minutes later, Anna returned to her room. She searched her whole room frantically for the letter. However, the letter was nowhere to be found. Anna walked to her sister’s room to ask her if she had seen the letter.
She found her two-year-old sister scribbling on a piece of white paper. Anger began rising in her. She knew that her sister had taken her letter. She was right! The envelope was torn and lying in a corner of the room. Her sister was scribbling on the letter! Anna snatched the letter from her sister and yelled at her. She even hit her arm. However, her naughty sister tried to snatch the letter back. In the fight, the paper was ripped into two.
Anna’s father rushed into the room on hearing the commotion. He scolded Anna’s sister for taking her things. He also told Anna that she should not have hit her sister. Besides, she should keep her things out of her sister’s reach next time.
