Good Health
Early to bed, early to rise,
Makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
How often have we heard this! Our elders never tire of pointing it out to us. However, rising early and sleeping early is not the only way to remain healthy. There are other rules also which we must follow if we wish to maintain good health.
First of should eat wholesome food. Our diet should include plenty of vegetables, fruits, milk and lentils. We should not have too much of fatty food and sugar as it leads to obesity and ill-health.
Secondly, we must lead an active life. We should keep busy with our studies, games and hobbies; and not spend all our leisure hours in front of the television set or lying in bed.
Good health and happiness go side by side and keeping healthy is our own responsibility. This does not mean that we keep thinking about our physical well-being to the exclusion of everything else. Rather, good eating habits, proper rest and spending our days in a constructive manner should become a natural way of life. Our days should be well-planned and organised and our nights restful and refreshing. Only then can we truly be healthy, wealthy and wise.
