Competition
Today’s age is an age of competition. There is cut-throat contest everywhere. If you are slow and sluggish, you are thrown out. It you are fast and sure you come out with flying colours. One success can lead you to another if you are persistent in your efforts.
Competition is a healthy process. It spurs you to outshine others. It makes you use all your talents and sharpen your tools for success. Your goals are fixed in a right direction. The absence of competition makes you slack. It becomes your habit not to work hard. Competition makes businessmen run faster to turn market in their favour. They learn new ways and means to lure customers. They try to improve the quality of the goods to the benefit of consumers. They earn goodwill of people by giving them many incentives. Competition gets the prices down and the demand for goods increases which is beneficial for the producers.
Life has become much complicated these days. The slow and the weak go to the wall. They have very little claim on the wealth of a nation. They are deprived of the luxuries of the world. The slow lose the game of life. They cannot compete and the big gates of success are always closed for them.
There is no place for average students these days. They do not get admission in good courses of study. They remain dejected and lag behind. Their careers remain shabby. They have to work in servitude always at the mercy of others. They do not command proper respect in the society. They repent in the long run. Competition has taught people to run in the race of success and the few who push others behind and move forward, are the winners.
