My Favourite Holiday
Today is the last day of my summer holiday. As I pack my school hag. I am so excited I cannot wait to go back to school tomorrow to share my holiday adventure with my friends. This was the best summer holiday of my life! Would you like to know why?
This year my parents decided to send my sister and me to Delhi for a visit to my Uncle’s house. We were very excited to see our cousins waiting for us at the airport. On the way home, our Uncle surprised us by taking a detour to Jim Corbett Wildlife Sanctuary for a jungle safari!
We stayed the night at the Dhikala guest house overlooking the Ramganga reservoir. Early next morning, we took an elephant safari into the grasslands. Our mahout led the elephant to one of the watering holes to enable us to get a view of the sanctuary’s most prized possession- the Tiger!
On the way we saw a variety of animals including spotted dear, wild boars, monkeys and herds of elephants. Just as we reached the watering hole, we saw a tigress walk out of the grass, towards the water. along with her three cubs. We could barely contain our excitement and hugged each other with joy.
The next day we headed out to Nainital. After staying there for a week, we returned to Delhi and spent another fortnight exploring the capital city.
We returned to Mumbai last night and spent all of today sharing our photographs with our parents. When my friends at school see the photographs won’t they wish they were a pan of our summer holiday adventure tool?
