A World without Computer Games
Do you think it is possible to live in a world without computer games? Can you imagine waking up one day to find that there is no virtual way to play all those games that you enjoy on the computer? Imagine what you would do in such a situation!
‘Gaming’ would mean Tag, Hide-n- Seek and Hopscotch and ‘PlayStation’ would be what you called your playground. When you heard the word football, your feet would twitch to kick instead of your fingers itching to click; a run out in cricket would actually mean connecting ball to bail and The Grand Theft Auto would be what criminals did before they landed up in jail!
You would exercise and play more. You would never hear yourself say “I am so bored!” because books would then be your new best friend and reading your favourite past time. Your childhood memories would be of days spent reading, swimming, cycling and playing real games with real friends not just computer games with virtual friends. Don’t you think life would be so much more fun if that happened to you?
This is a special time in your life when you grow, learn and make friends. Make the most of these years by reading and playing outdoors. ‘Save’ these memories so that when you grow up and ‘scroll’ back to your childhood you will never have to ‘undo’ these best years of your life!
