A Good Personality Trait
“Ah! What a wonderful smile! Just like her mother’s.” “Look at that lady- her posture is perfect.” These are two statements which highlight a good personality trait each. One trait, however, is inherent while the other acquired.
There are as many traits as there are adjectives to describe them. Some are good while the others are not so good. A personality may be defined as the totality of qualities and traits, of character and behavior that are peculiar to a specific person. Being tall, having a good posture, a good walk, a friendly disposition or being helpful by nature, good oration are all examples of good personality traits. Every individual is born with some qualities that enhance his persona and other traits that are not so desirable. With time and understanding of social norms, people generally learn to keep their darker side under control.
Having a good personality requires you to acquire as many good personality traits as you can. One cannot grow taller but can definitely stay slim and fit, one may not have a cheerful or friendly disposition but one can work toward being pleasant and polite in public. A persona is a mask and a mask is one on which you can work upon. It is up to you to develop into a charming personality, a boorish personality or simply a non-entity, who melts into the background.
