A Day in The Life of A Nurse
Nursing, like teaching, is regarded to be a noble profession. At a particular point of time, the invaluable service rendered by a nurse to a patient is indeed great. For a nurse, whether she is in a hospital, a nursing home or a private house, the day begins early in the morning. If she is on day-duty. She has to attend it at 6.00 A.M. She immediately starts attending to the patients and gives them the first dose of early morning medicines. She also attends to their needs. She records the temperature of every patient, examines their pulse, blood pressure and, if necessary, sponges them and changes the linen of their beds. She forgets her comforts and performs all duties some of which are quite odd, smilingly and without any hesitation or obligation. A nurse possesses the qualities like sympathy, politeness, sense of duty and a clear and sharp memory. A nurse gets herself dressed in a spotlessly white dress with light footwear. She looks quite distinct and attractive in her dress. During her night duty, a nurse keeps herself awake and alert to attend to any emergent situation. She foregoes her comfort for the sake of suffering patient. No amount of money can compensate for her services.
