Write an Invitation to your friend a Movie – Informal Letter

Invitation to a Movie

Kadamkuam

6 Oct. 19…

Dear Latif,

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. Not brooding anymore on the death of your pet dog? The long-awaited Oscar award-winning film, “Gandhi” is being screened at Plaza from tomorrow. As you know there is tremendous rush at the advance booking counters. But I have a friend who works at the cinema hall. He can arrange two tickets for the premiere tomorrow. Ben Kingsley who plays Mahatma Gandhi is himself coming and will deliver a short speech about his experience in simulating the life of Gandhiji.

Kindly beat the cinema hall tomorrow at 3 p.m. If for any reason you cannot come send a note by your courier. I couldn’t get your phone number, so I’ve had to send my Nepali with this letter.

Yours sincerely,

Mridang Panday.

Dear Mridang,

How thoughtful of you to think of your friend’s needs. I hardly go to movies with sensational sex and violence. Far from catharsis they leave a bad taste in the mouth. But I hunger for art movies and historical ones. Gandhi is the one such I’ve longed to see.

I’ll be there at Plaza at 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,

Latif.
