My dear Subhash,
Received your progress report sent by your teacher. I am glad to know that you have stood first in the House Test. But it is all at the cost of your health. It is a bad bargain. Health is the most precious possession of life.
In order to keep yourself physically fit, you must take part in games. Games teach us those things which we do not learn in the class room. Games refresh our mind. They teach us discipline and cooperation. We learn how to act within a framework of rules and regulations. We also learn how to take victories and defeats in the same spirit. Games strengthen us both physically and mentally. It is rightly said that sound mind lives in a sound body. Moreover all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
I hope you will heed my advice and take part in games.
With love,
Yours affectionately.
Arunjit.
