My dear Father
I received your letter today itself and read its contents. Now you need not be worried about me. Only a few hours have expired since I got admission in my school’s hostel. This hostel is unparalleled in itself. After reading about it in this letter, I hope you will be happy.
The hostel’s building came up in the month of June this year. At present, only seventy students can lodge here. There are thirty-five rooms for the students. Each room can house two students. My roommate 18 is my classmate also. Luckily, our temperaments are congenial. The hostel warden, Shri Aggarwal, is a good-natured and able person. He is always ready to do anything for the convenience and welfare of his students. The atmosphere here is calm and quiet. But the rules of the hostel are very strict. No student can do anything beyond the scheduled programme. Everything like studies, games, food, and slumber has its own fixed time. Delicious and nutritious food is provided to the hosteliers. Our warden is an exemplary person whose imprint we feel on us. My conviction is that even the most vicious student in his association is likely to become an ideal pupil. Let me assure you, Papa, that I shall be able to attain my education in an exquisite manner.
