Write a letter to your elder brother on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

21 August,
Dear Brother
I hope this letter of mine will find you in rosy health and cheerful spirits. Raksha Bandhan Festival, a symbol of brother-sister love, is arriving after two days. Many years have passed since I tied ‘Raakhi’ (a sacred thread) on your wrist. Every year I find that you don’t happen to come to your sister’s house on account of one kind of entanglement or the other. But, dear brother, whether you come or not, this sacred festival arrives at its fixed date. So I am sending you the sacred Raakhi’. You can at least see my image in these threads though my heart aches to see you. It is a very queer feeling. I also don’t get time to come out of doors. The family bonds have fettered me down to the house. Here your brother-in-law has more responsibility than you have. Let us see when you both will quench the thirst of my eyes.
On this auspicious occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, I pray to God to bless you with long life, happiness and peace.
Kindly convey my greetings to my sister-in-law and tender love to Kavita.
Your loving sister
