Dear Brother-in-law
May God bless you with happiness! On learning from your letter yesterday that Vimala has given birth to a lovely babe, I am extremely happy. I hope that she will be in her pink health. Since mother has reached there to take care of her, there is nothing to worry about. You should make Vimala understand that whatever she does, she should first ask her mother and according to her instructions alone, she should take medicines. She may, of course, yearn for taking cold drinks. But the elderly people are always urged to take lukewarm water for at least one month. It is in the fitness of things to act upon these pieces of advice if one wants to keep fit. I offer my heartiest congratulations to you as well as Vimala.
If possible, I shall come to see the newborn babe after a week. By that time I hope your brother will also return from abroad. Nayantara has created a lot of fuss, insisting upon seeing the babe. You must send a photograph of the child for her.
With best regards to Mummy and tender love to the babe. Let me also convey Nayantara’s greetings to all of you.
If I am worthy of any service to you, please write to me without any hesitation.
Anxiously waiting for your reply.
Your affectionate sister-in-law
Asha
