Sir,
I want to draw your kind attention to the increasing number of crimes in our area. The cases of thefts, robberies and stabbings are very common. Hardly a day passes when such crimes are not reported. Life has become very unsafe. It is very risky, especially for women, to go out alone in the evening. There have been many incidents of chain snatching.
The people of the area are greatly terrified. There is no police station in this area. The nearest police station is about six kilometres. When the police reach the spot, it is already very late. Only yesterday two young men forcibly entered a house and took away most of the valuables at the point of a pistol.
I request you to set up a permanent police station in the area. The police patrolling should be intensified. It would build up confidence among the residents of the area. It would create fear for thieves, robbers and anti-social elements.
