Sir,
I, on behalf of the people of my locality, wish to place the long standing demand for a park for the children.
Phagwara is a fast developing town. New industrial units are coming up. The roads are being widened. Many new schools have been built. The people are building new houses. Despite all this, there is no park for children. They play on road-sides. This results in accidents. Sometimes ugly scenes are created.
Children are the future of the nation. They must carefully looked after. They should be given full opportunity for their growth. They should have a safe place to play and enjoy in free time.
Hence there is a great need for a park. They should be given every facility. A big piece of land is lying vacant in the heart of the town. This land belongs to the Improvement Trust. It can easily be developed into a park.
Early step in this direction will be greatly appreciated.
