Sir,
I would like to bring to your kind notice that a parcel of books was sent to me by M/s Frank Publication. Darya Ganj, Delhi by a passenger’s train on 2nd June, 200. When I went to the Local Goods Office, in Kanpur to take the delivery of the consignment, I found that ten books had been badly damaged in transit. It appears that it was roughly handed by the railway personnel during the transit as their binding had been dislocated. The pages even were torn from different places.
As it is the fault of the railway authorities, I would press charges for compensation. The damaged books are valued at Rupees 2500/- and the local clerk can give the testimony to this act. Therefore, I request that the compensation for the loss I have suffered should be paid to me at the earliest.
I hope you will act on my complaint and do the needful.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Sapna Kumar
