This is just to bring to your kind notice that stray cases of cholera are occurring in the village.Three men have died of cholera during this week and five are laid up with it. All the five cases are serious and need proper medical aid urgently and immediately. There is no Government Free Hospital nearby. The villagers are feeling helpless.
Please depute some doctors and workers without loss of time. A visit by you in person may prove very beneficial. The patients may be removed to the hospital at Kolkata and their houses be got washed and disinfected. The sale and use of melons, watermelons and cucumbers be stopped by order. Other precautionary measures be also adopted to check further prevalence of the disease.
