Write a letter to the Editor of a newspaper about frequent breakdowns in the water supply.

The Editor,

Kolkata-700001.
Sir,
Kindly permit me to draw the attention of the Municipal Corporation of Bidhannagar, through the columns of your esteemed daily, towards the inefficient and inadequate water supply at Bidhannagar in Kolkata.
The citizens pay a good amount of taxes and in return, expect the corporation to provide them with proper civic amenities. It is really very unfortunate that the corporation has not been able to provide the basic requirements of the citizens. It does not bother to make proper arrangements even for water and power supplies.
Every now and then, we find people arguing and fighting over water because water is supplied for three hours in a day. A long queue is found and formed at the water taps. The pressure of water is also very low.
The office-goers are delayed and become the victims of the anger of the officers. After all, the officers cannot tolerate late arrivals if the same becomes a matter of routine.
The authorities must take some steps. They must make an earnest effort to ensure regular water supply and help us in the performance of our respective duties. Besides, this would earn a good name for the corporation.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Pankaj Roy
