Write a letter to the Editor of a leading newspaper complaining about the conditions in hospitals of your city/town/village.
To
The Editor,
The Statesman,
Kolkata-1.
Sir,
Please allow me some space in your English daily, to express my thoughts about the deplorable condition in our village hospital.
The hospital in our locality is getting worse day by day. A hospital is a place for the treatment of persons who are sick or injured or wounded. The sub-divisional hospital does not have the standard of cleanliness, order and kindness. The patients are not treated here as kindly as guests. The doctors and nurses are too much apathetic and professional. The building is a big one and impressive too but the wards are so overcrowded with patients that they present a somewhat untidy appearance. The beds are so close to one another with hardly too feet space between them. The patients are seen lying even in the verandah. The floors are unclean with bits of papers and dust. The whole atmosphere is foul and unhygienic. Besides, the doctors and nurses are not sufficient and they are not even judicious.
Therefore, I would request the proper authority to take the necessary steps for the better public health.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
L. K. Mitra
