Dear Jim,
I received your letter yesterday in which you have stated that you would like me to describe my home town to you.
Hyderabad, is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is a very picturesque, old fashioned and charming city. It is situated near Musi River where a lot of sailing takes place.
The markets of Hyderabad are narrow and congested but are still thronged by many people from all over India. The main attraction of Hyderabad is the Nizam’s Palace which stands on a broad terrace, with artistically laid out flowers beds. The facade is Grecian and has double rows of Corinthian pillars.
Although Hyderabad is still backward in many ways yet it is fast developing as an IT city and new industries are also being set up everywhere in the city.
Hyderabad is also thronged by young film directors who want to make it big in regional films, as a lot of regional movies are made here. There are also many amusement parks in the city which are thronged by people of all age groups. Do tell me when you can visit me.
Give my regards to your parents and love to your younger sister Rea.
Closing on the hopeful note of hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Kumar
