Who produced commercially the first microprocessor?

The first MICROPROCESSOR.

The first MICROPROCESSOR to be produced commercially was developed in 1969 by Edward Hoff of the Intel Corporation of Sarea Clara, Calif. as the central processing unit of a desktop programmable computer. The technology on which it was based, however, had been the subject of a master patent registered the previous year by Gilbert Hyatt of La Palma, Calif., founder of Micro Computer Inc. This was only recognized in 1990 following a long court battle.
