Who made first bowler hat?
The first BOWLER HAT was made in 1849 by Thomas and William Bowler, felt-hat makers of Southwark Bridge Road, London in fulfillment of an order placed with them by Lock & Co. of St James’s on behalf of their customer William Coke of Holkham, Norfolk. Coke intended the `bowler’ as protection from low overhanging branches when out shooting.
