Who discovered plastic?
PLASTIC was Parkesine, a thermo-plastic material produced by Alexander Parkes of Birmingham in 1866, from nitrocellulose, camphor and alcohol.
An almost exactly similar thermoplastic was patented by John Wesley Hyatt of Albany, New York in 1869 and given the name “Celluloid”.
