Essay on “Traffic Lights”
Everyone seems to be in a great hurry. People, cars, buses, scooters, auto-rickshaws, hawkers everyone and everything is in a tearing hurry.
The only time they come to a standstill is when the traffic lights give their signals-RED to stop, YELLOW to wait and GREEN to go. Then the rush begins all over again. The traffic lights are very important. If they were not installed, there would be utter confusion on the streets. Accidents would take place within minutes everyone would be driving in as any direction they pleased, without waiting. Normally, a policeman stands on a watch close by to see that the traffic is in order. Traffic signals are very important in cities, and the drivers of vehicles wait impatiently, every minute for the lights to change from RED to GREEN.
