Sympathizing a friend who has failed in the examination.
Dear James,
The morning paper of today has brought all disappointments and I am very sorry to find your Roll No. missing therein. If even I knew I will have to cut a sorry figure after going through the paper, I would have never gonethrough the results.
As far as I remember, you have told me once that you did very well in your examinations. Even your past results have always been excellent and I still do not believe that there is no printing error in the paper.
It is here that one turns to God in our dismay and say that our disappointments are his appointments.
Dear James, do not get discouraged about what has happened. Effort again and you are bound to be successful. Why not change your college? It might replace with new atmosphere.
My parents join me in my sympathies towards you.
Yours ever,
