Dear Sir,
You will be pleased to know that a Road Safety Association was formed in Ramjas Senior Secondary School, Chandni Chowk, Delhi, last year. The purpose of this Association is to inculcate among the students of the school a sense of safety through safety education and demonstrations. The students are made aware of the rules and regulations regarding road safety. i am also pleased to inform you that, last month, an essay competition on road safety was organised in our school and the competition attracted a very good response. Prizes were awarded to the winners of three best essays. It appears, the students of our school are learning safe road practices carefully. I am sure, our school will set a good example to be followed by other schools and they will soon form such Associations in their schools, as well.
It is our intention to allow the students to polish their road safety knowledge through demonstrations. The Traffic Park in New Delhi, which is under your overall control will, I am sure, fulfill the need of the students in this direction. I shall, therefore, be thankful if you kindly grant permission to our school to visit the Traffic Park on next Saturday from 11 A.M. onwards. I trust, you will be able to arrange a good guide and instructor.
