The Superintendent of Police,

North East Zone,

Delhi.

Sir,

This is to inform you about the insecure atmosphere, the residents of Azadpur are living in. Last evening at about 7 o’clock, a motorcyclist stopped behind a woman all of a sudden, snatched her gold chain, and made good his escape. The woman raised a hue and cry but to no avail.

This is not a single incident of chain snatching in our locality. Five such incidents have taken place within the last two months.

The number of thefts committed in the area is also on the increase. Some strange people break into the house in the afternoon and virtually ransack the house. Necessary steps should be taken immediately to tackle the problem.

Here are some suggestions in this regard. There should be patrolling by policemen throughout the day. The number of policemen on night duty should be gadgets, increased. Policemen should be equipped with weapons and a jeep to chase the culprits.

Hope you will implement these suggestions to check these incidents which have taken away the peace and security of this area.

Yours faithfully,

Suresh Oberoi.
