Dear neighbour
I am sorry and feel embarrassed at worrying you about my own troubles but I hope that you will understand and forgive my impudence. My mother Rejeshwari Devi aged 78 years is critically sick and is in critical condition. She is under treatment at home. She needs total quiet and complete rest for recovery. Noise is like poison to her. We do not watch TV. or play the radio for her sake. Even the whistle of the pressure cooker makes her wince.
I have been told that you have organized the Bliagwati legion for tomorrow where devotional music will be played all night long over the loudspeaker. I am afraid my mother won’t be able to survive that noise. So, I request you with folded hands to postpone your Jagran program to a later date. You can see my dilemma.
I again apologize for my causing you inconvenience.
Your neighbor in distress
