Letter to a friend who has failed in S.S.C. examination due to some unavoidable circumstances.
15, Lamington Road,
Bombay. (Date)
Dear Suresh,
I was not shocked but was terribly sad to know that you have faced a failure in the S.S.C. examination. I know it is a great blow to your good academic career and reputation.
But everybody who knows you, knows well that while taking examinations you were fighting with death itself. I really admire your courage and patience with which you not only managed to overcome the relapsed jaundice but also managed to appear for the exams.
You are not to be blamed for this failure. And I am sure a person as thoroughly optimistic as you are, will not be feeling discouraged or run down. Health is the first and foremost requirement for any success in life. Now that you have recovered from a long illness, I am sure you will succeed. Do not feel disappointed. Recall What Krishna says in the Geeta-Do your work and don’t worry about the fruit. You did your work and now you have to do your work with a renewed vigor and energy.
My best wishes will always remain with you. Convey my regards to your parents and please reply soon.
Yours affectionately,
Sarvesh Aggarwal
