Essay on “Flying Kites”
On holidays, you can see the kites of different shapes and colours flying high up in the sky. Some are red, yellow, white, pink and purple, with long tails that flutter the breeze. Kites are made of thin paper so they are light and can fly up into the clouds like birds. Kites are red with strings which are held by the person flying them. That is how kites are controlled. People have kite races and competitions. There is much excitement to see who wins and who cuts someone else’s kite. Flying kites is an age-old tradition. People in the older times used to fly kites on special occasions. Even now, kites are flown on special days, occasions, and festivities to show joy and happiness.
