The Football Match
“We will beat your hands down!” The boys smirked as they ran onto the football field. The girls glared at them. They would play their best to make sure that the boys did not win the game.
The teacher blew the whistle and the match began. At first, the boys had control of the ball. They dribbled the ball across the field with ease and scored the first goal. They jumped up and gave one another a high five. The girls were determined not to let the boys score another goal. The best player, Melissa, gained control of the ball. She dribbled it towards the goalposts. She was about to kick the ball when one of the boys kicked the ball away from her. The boys looked as though they were going to score another goal but a petite girl came out from nowhere and kicked the ball away from them. She scored a goal for her team easily. Just then, the teacher blew her whistle. The match was over. It was a draw.
The girls hugged one another. They were on top of the world. They had proved to the boys that they could be just as good as them.
