Telling Lies
Jeremiah often told lies. He lied so often that no one believed what he said. His parents and teachers scolded him but to no avail.
Jeremiah was walking home after school one day. He was walking under a block of flats when someone came up behind him and snatched his wallet. He was stunned and ran after the man. Jeremiah was glad to bump into one of his teachers. Panting and out of breath, he told her that a man had stolen his wallet. She looked at him in disbelief. Instead of helping him, she reprimanded him for lying again and walked off. Jeremiah was shocked. Now, there was no one to help him. Inside the wallet, there was money for a book he was supposed to buy. Feeling upset, he returned home and told his mother what had happened. She glared at him and said that he had either lost the money or spent it on something else. She thought that he was lying too.
No one believed Jeremiah. He finally realized how important it was to tell the truth. By telling lies, no one trusted him. He was not able to get the book that he wanted. He had also lost his favourite wallet. From then on, Jeremiah decided to stop lying.
