Sharing a Room

Ken likes sharing a room with his brother, Tom. Tom is two years older than he is.

The room is decorated with the boys’ favourite things. Ken likes aeroplanes and Tom likes cars. There are aeroplane mobiles on one side of the room and car stickers on the wall on the other side. Ken and Tom do many things together in the room. They always study together after school. Ken turns to Tom whenever he does not know how to do his work. Their favourite activity is playing computer games. They have to share one computer but they do not mind. They take turns to play online games. Ken is a skilful player. He has taught Tom many tricks. Sometimes, the boys quarrel. Once, Tom accused Ken of wearing his favourite T-shirt without asking for permission. Ken was defiant. He insisted that he could share clothes with Tom. Tom argued that Ken had to ask for permission before taking his things. In the end, they agreed not to take each other’s things unless they got permission.

Ken and Tom do not argue for long. They are like great friends. They share a double-decker bed. Before going to sleep, the boys often talk to each other about their day. Tom often gives Ken advice. Ken looks up to his brother.
