My Kind Neighbours
My immediate neighbours are Mr. and Mrs. Lee. They have two children, John and Mary. They are a happy family Mr. Lee is an engineer and he owns a big continental car. He is a friendly person and often chats with my father.
John and Mary are my good friends. We share many interests. We often go fishing and camping together during the school holidays.
Mrs. Lee is a housewife. My family is amused by her forgetfulness. She has the habit of borrowing things from us and forgetting to return them. Very often, we have to remind her to return them. On such occasions, she would say, “Oh, how forgetful am!” I remember once when she borrowed a vacuum cleaner from us and we had to remind her three times before she finally brought it back to us.
However, Mrs. Lee is also a nice and helpful neighbour. I have a baby sister and Mrs. Lee always volunteers to babysit her whenever my mother is busy. Whenever my mother cooks curry chicken, makes satay or bakes cakes, she will give some to the Lee family. Likewise, Mrs. Lee will make extra cakes for us whenever she makes cakes for her family.
My neighbours are polite and cooperative. I am indeed lucky to have the Lee family as my neighbours.
