My Favourite Restaurant
My father took me to a restaurant once a month. The restaurant had been around since my father was a child.
We usually went there for dinner on Sunday. It was not a swanky restaurant but I liked to dress up when I went there. The waiters and waitresses recognized us. They always reserved the best seats for us. The table was near the window and we had a great view of the sea. The chairs were covered with light brown velvet. There was a blue and white tablecloth on the table. There was also a transparent bowl with a candle in the centre. The place was dimly lit and it looked quiet and romantic. However, it was very noisy. Children were often running around. My father and I ordered a steak each time. The succulent steak always made my mouth water. The meal also came with a tasty bowl of soup and a delicious dessert. The meal was scrumptious. My father allowed me to order a glass of cola. Sometimes, he let me have two glasses if I was very thirsty.
Whenever we left the restaurant, the waitress would give me a present. When I was younger, she gave me balloons. When I was older, she gave me coloured pencils and other stationery. I enjoyed going to the restaurant.
