Doing a Good Deed
One Monday morning, while I was at the bus stop, a blind man there asked loudly, “Excuse me, could someone please tell me when bus Number 170 comes? I need to go to town.”
Almost immediately, I saw bus Number 170 approaching. I informed the blind man and helped him board the bus. The man was grateful for my help.
The next day, I was at the bus stop when I saw the blind man again. I quickly went up to him and asked, “Excuse me, Sir, are you waiting for bus Number 170?”
“How do you know?” the blind man asked in a surprised tone.
“Oh, I was here yesterday and I helped you board the bus,” I replied.
“Oh, so you were the kind girl who helped me. Thank you very much,” said the blind man.
I was glad to be able to help again. When I got home, I told my parents about the blind man. They praised me for being helpful and courteous. They said that I had done a good deed.
