At the Playground
Samantha and Jim were at the playground. They ran to the suspension bridge. They liked it very much and always played on it. They were glad that there was no one there at that time.
Samantha and Jim were running up and down the bridge when they heard a shout from below them. It was Mike, the bully, who lived in the next block. Before the children could get off the bridge, Mike climbed up and began rocking it as hard as he could. Samantha grabbed onto the sides. Her face
Mike laughed when he saw how frightened the children looked. He rushed towards Samantha and tried to push her off. Jim was angry with Mike for frightening his sister. He rushed towards Mike and shoved him as hard as he could. Mike stumbled backwards in fright. However, he regained his balance and pushed Jim back. A crowd of boys had gathered at the playground, cheering Mike on.
Just then, Samantha and Jim’s parents arrived at the playground.
“Hey! What are you doing?” shouted their father. Mike was startled to see them. He immediately stopped fighting with Jim and hurried off the bridge. Then, he ran as fast as he could away from the playground.
