An Unfriendly Girl
Jasmine frowned at the girl who smiled at her. The girl immediately turned away. Still frowning, Jasmine marched into her classroom. She went straight to her seat, ignoring the greetings that everyone said to her.
At recess, her classmates asked her if she wanted to join them at the table but she shook her head. She preferred to sit on her own. She scowled when someone tapped her on the shoulder and said hello to her. She did not like to be disturbed when she was eating. After eating, she walked to the far end of the field where there was a bench. She sat on the bench and read her book. She could hear her classmates shouting and laughing but she ignored them. She preferred to be alone. At first, everyone thought that Jasmine was just being shy. However, after a while, her classmates ignored her. They felt that she was a very unfriendly girl. She did not smile at them or even say hello to them when she saw them. Soon, no one wanted to talk to her.
Jasmine did not mind being alone. She did not like to have friends. She preferred to be on her own.
