An Outing to the Science City
Joel kept his eyes peeled on the huge white building that was approaching in the distance. He was on an excursion to the Science Centre with his classmates. Before long, the bus rumbled into the car park and everyone alighted.
Joel queued up with his classmates at the entrance. There was an interesting exhibit in a glass display there. Their teacher told them that it showed kinetic energy. A ball was moving along the slopes in the exhibit. Their teacher then took them to the second floor of the Science Centre. Joel could not believe his eyes. He was transported to outer space. He felt as though he was in another world. A lady showed them around the place. She told them what meteorites were. She even showed them a short video clip of what they looked like. Joel also read the signs on each of the exhibits and pressed buttons to see objects moving. He learnt a lot about the sun, the moon, the earth and other planets.
Joel had such a fun time that he was reluctant to leave the place. He decided to ask his parents to take him to the Science Centre that weekend so that he could see more of the exhibits.
