An Interesting Lesson
I stared curiously at the huge box that Mrs. Pilchard was carrying. It looked very heavy. There was a beautifully wrapped present sticking out at the top.
After greeting Mrs. Pilchard, we sat down and looked at her expectantly. We were bursting with curiosity. Mrs. Pilchard told us that she was going to ask us questions about the chapter in our Science textbook that we had just completed. Those who answered more than ten questions correctly would get to pick a gift from the box. A murmur of excitement rose in the classroom. My friends and I rubbed our hands gleefully. We were certain we would be able to do well. Mrs. Pilchard divided us into teams and read out the questions. The team whose members raised their hands first could answer the questions. There was a lot of shouting and screaming as everyone tried to be the first. All of us cheered and applauded when someone got the answer right. We were having a whale of a time. We did not even realize that we were revising our work for the coming test.
After the quiz, Mrs. Pilchard let the winning teams choose their prizes from the box. Those who lost were not left out as Mrs. Pilchard gave each of them a sweet.
