An Accident at the Bus Interchange
The downpour had just stopped. Mrs. Grey took the bus to the supermarket to buy some groceries. She stepped off the bus and headed to the supermarket. The ground was slippery and there were many puddles of water. She took extra care to walk carefully.
Mrs. Grey was walking in the bus interchange when a stall selling satin pouches caught her attention. She was staring at the pouches and did not notice a wet plastic bag on the ground in front of her. Her legs slid out from under her when she stepped on the bag.
“Help!” she screamed but it was too late. She fell on her side. Her legs stuck out in front of her and her right wrist was bent in an awkward position. She had used her right arm to break her fall. When she tried to get up, she realized that her right wrist was red and swollen. The pain shot up her arm. A passerby helped her to her feet. He helped her to the nearest clinic.
The doctor at the clinic sent Mrs. Grey to hospital. She had fractured her wrist. Mrs. Grey was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
