A visit to the Beach
Janet woke up earlier than usual that Saturday. She was going to the beach with her friends Jasmine and Peter. They were going to spend the day there.
Janet, Jasmine, and Peter opened their picnic mat under a shady tree. Then, they ran to the sea and jumped into the cool clear water. They splashed water at one another. They also played with a beach ball. After playing in the water, they decided to eat the food that they had brought.
To Janet’s dismay, the food that her mother had packed was filled with ants. There were ants crawling all over the sandwiches. They could not be eaten. Janet was very upset. Her stomach was growling but she had no food to eat. Jasmine and Peter immediately shared their food with her. Jasmine scooped some noodles for her onto a plate. Peter gave her some of his fried rice as well. Janet was glad that she would not have to go hungry. The three friends built a sandcastle after their meal.
They had a great time at the beach. It was soon time for them to leave. They decided to go out the next weekend. They would go to the park then.
