A New Friend
Jack was cycling at the park. He had just learnt how to cycle so he was swaying unsteadily. He almost fell a few times but he kept on trying
Jack was concentrating so hard that he did not notice a boy coming towards him. The boy was like Jack. He was also learning how to cycle. The two boys were cycling towards each other. Both of them were also going quite fast. They were going to crash!
Jack looked up just in time to see the boy coming towards him. The boy was looking down and did not notice Jack.
“Watch out!” Jack shouted but it was too late. Both of them could not brake in time. Jack tried to swerve to the side but he still knocked into the boy. The boy fell off his bicycle with a thud. He was stunned. He sat on the ground rubbing his knee. Jack hobbled over to see if the boy was all right. Luckily, there was only a small cut on his knee. Instead of arguing over who had caused the accident, they helped each other up. They decided to learn to cycle together.
From then on, Jack often went to the park with his new friend. They agreed to have a race when both of them could cycle well.
