Will means a strong desire, an impregnable and impenetrable spirit. Will supplies energy to flight and face odds heroically. Life is full of ups and downs, trials and tribulations, challenges and examinations. There are lions on the way that frighten and dishearten the seekers. Chicken-hearted persons accept defeat and withdraw. On the other hand men with strong will fight to the finish and come out with flying colours. Will supplies confidence and determination. Difficulties are surmounted, peaks are scaled and odds are won. It is a saying worth noting impossible is a word found in the dictionary of fools. This immortal sentence has come out of the mouth of a man who had indomitable will, a will to defeat all challenges. Nothing is impossible ‘in this world provided there is a strong will to achieve it. A strong-willed man always succeeds in finding ways and means to reach the top. Inventors and discoverers possessed this quality and no odds could dishearten them from kissing the success. No handicap can be big enough to block the way of the success of a man who possesses a strong will. Set your heart on doing a thing and it will be accomplished.

The story of thirsty crow is well-known. It has been told to children in various schools. The story goes like this: A thirsty crow was wandering in search of water. He could not find water anywhere and was dying of thirst. At last, he saw a pitcher lying somewhere at a secluded place. It contained water but at aver), low level almost touching the bottom. Although the crow felt very disgusted, yet he was determined to drink water to quench his thirst. He thought of a plan but its execution was very tiresome. He went on picking pebbles and putting them in the pitcher. It was indeed a very hard labor for him but his strong determination prompted him to go ahead. When he had put a large quantity of pebbles, the water level of the pitcher came upto the surface. The crow drank water easily and quenched his thirst. He proved that where there is a will, there is a way. The saying was proved by the Indian people when, by their strong determination, they won freedom. We are also marching for-ward in various fields of development by our own will and determination. We must keep before us the example of the crow.
