Vocational Education
Thousands of young men and women become graduates every year. They then start looking for a job. Most of them remain unemployed even after a prolonged search for a job. The main reason for their unemployment is the lack of any technical or vocational skills. Our education system produces educated youth who are fit to do only office jobs. Unfortunately, the number of office jobs is reducing every day. Therefore the number of unemployed youth is increasing every day. The only solution of this problem is to introduce vocational training and education at the school and college level itself. This will enable the youth to either start their own work or to be gainfully employed. Such trained workers will increase the efficiency and productivity of the industry. They can contribute to the development of the industry of the country. This in turn will make our industries more and more competent in the international market. Vocational training gives the youth a sense of achievement. It makes them more confident. Young men and women become empowered to face any challenge in life. They inspire others and become their role models. Vocational education today is the most powerful means of constructive youth development.
