Games play an important part in man’s life. They are no less needed than food. They keep man physically fit and mentally alert. While playing he forgets the worries of life. They help man release his pent-up energy. As a result he does not lose his cool in hostile circumstances.
Games foster in man a sense of discipline. He learns to do things collectively. He comes to realize the value of team-work. Games teach him to live within certain limits. He learns to observe the rules of life. He develops the habit of fair play. He plays a game in the spirit of sportsmanship.
