The Game of Cricket
Cricket is an international game played all over the world. Indeed, it is rated as one of the most popular games. Our cricket team consists of players who have many admiring fans. The game is played by two teams, each with eleven players. These teams may belong to the same country or two different countries. When matches are played between two countries, they are called ‘Test Matches’. They are played for five days. Each match has about two innings. The team which scores more runs, wins the match. Sometimes, when the two innings are not completed, then the match is considered ‘drawn’.
Test matches can be seen on Television live. Others go to the stadium where the match is being played but it is sometimes difficult to get the tickets, for they are not expensive and get sold off very fast. The commentators of the matches relay every innings over the radio with great enthusiasm.
The game is full of suspense and excitement. The entire ground spectators is filled with every time a batsman with the sound of cheering every time a batsman hits a four or a sixer.
