The Cats
The cats also belong to a family of wild animals like the tiger, lion, leopard and panther. All these animals are known as the cat tribe. The tiger is the largest of the cats and the cat is the smallest of the tigers.
Though the wild animals like the lion and the tiger are kept in cages and shown to the public, they can never be tamed. They are very dangerous to mankind.
But the cats have been tame from the earlier times. Egyptians brought up cats as household pets.
We keep cats and bring them up as pets in our houses. Unlike the dog, the cat does not attach itself to any individual. It is attached to the place where it grows. It will never leave that place till its death.
Cats are pretty to look at with their soft fur. They are of different colours. Black, white, grey and red cats and cats with mixed colours are also found.
Kittens are very playful and it -is-funny to watch them, play with a ball. a dry stick or even a piece of paper.
The tame cats are very useful in catching and killing mice which are a nuisance to our barns and household articles.
The cats have a bright eyesight during the night. So, they can sit and watch at the mouse hole during dark nights and catch the mice when they come out of their holes.
The cat has no interest in its master. it likes the comfort of the house and will always find a cozy corner in the house to lie down to sleep. They are very selfish animals. They love men for their food and comfort only. They are very independent and cannot be made to obey any one.
