Slow and Steady Wins The Race
All of us know the tortoise, who won the race with the hare- though a hare is usually swift and quick it lost the race because it was not steady or consistent. This saying is very true in our lives too. Some people are quick, fast or naturally ahead in their work. With their smartness they win overnight and become famous. But then, overconfidence makes them lazy and they start to overlook things. Meanwhile, those who were working hard slowly. step by step, tackling everything that came their way. building confidence and satisfaction, learning from mistakes, overtakes the ones, who are taking rest. A student, a person working in a firm or business or even a nation must always work steadily and consistently to grow better or attain success. Today, USA is considered super power but expert say China with its steady growth rate is closing in and is likely to overtake USA in a few years. One must know ones strengths and weaknesses. Working steadily to improve one’s strength definitely overshadows the weakness leading to the path of success. We can see so many people, physically challenged yet working hard-they are slow but their determination is steady and they do better than the normal people. We must not undermine people who are slow because in the long run they may be the tortoise who will win the race.
