School Farewell Party
Farewell—the very word bring tears in our eyes. On the day of school farewell one is sad as our shared journey of so many years comes to an end, but at the same time it is also an occasion to be happy at the knowledge that this end of years has a new equally exciting beginning.
The Farewell Party for our batch was held on the 10th of February. The party began around 11.30 am on a holy note with the recital of scriptures from the Gita, by the Principal.
The Principal and all the teachers of the school gave their blessings to the students and wished them the very best for their Board Examination and their future.
This was followed by an enthralling performance by the School Band and all the students sang the school song with great fervor which is a mark of our solidarity, unity and the promise to uphold the school tradition of “Service before Self”. The air was charged with emotion and nostalgia.
Then it was the time for the most exciting part of that afternoon—“The Title Ceremony.” The event came alive with title like Mr./Miss Irresistible Miss Charming etc. That was not enough, the students of Class 11 performed lively dance numbers on popular Hindi and English songs.
After that it was time for light refreshment and then the representative of the 12th Class thanked the Principal and Teachers for their kind and affectionate behaviour through the years in the school. Then the representative also thanked the students of junior classes for giving such enjoyable performance.
Finally it was time for a group photograph with the Principal and the Teachers.
So it was a day of emotions, joy and reflection.
